The Victor Wembanyama show makes its one and only stop in Atlanta this season on Monday as the Spurs take on the Hawks on MLK Day.

Wembanyama has been as good as advertised leading all rookies with averages of 19.4 points and 10.2 rebounds. While his offense will continue to improve and evolve, it's been his defense that has been NBA-ready right out of the gate. Wemby leads the association averaging 3.1 blocks per game and should be in the conversation for the All-Defensive Team by season's end.

Only five rookies have ever made enough of a defensive impact to make the All-Defensive Team in their first season: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1970), Hakeem Olajuwon (1985), Manute Bol (1986) and a pair of Spurs in David Robinson (1990) and Tim Duncan (1998) were the lasts to do it. Should Wemby remain healthy, he'll have a shot at joining the list.

Conversely, the Hawks have underperformed with a roster that seems to have reached its ceiling. Trae Young is still playing at an All-Star level averaging a double-double of 27.4 points and 10.9 assists per game, but the chemistry between him and Dejounte Murray hasn't been as smooth as the front office would've imagined it would've been when they acquired him from the Spurs. Just a season and a half into the marriage, and Murray's name is already back in the rumor mill as the trade deadline looms just weeks away.

In a rare national TV game, the Hawks will look to build some momentum and get a much-needed home win against a very beatable opponent.
