The Hawks are on their way to the playoffs as the Eastern Conference's top seed, and now have the luxury of saving some key players for a playoff run. One of their big men will need the rest.

Atlanta announced Monday that starting forward Paul Millsap will miss the team's next two games with a right shoulder sprain and contusion

Of course, the Hawks don't have much to lose by resting their All-Star forward. What matters is making sure he's healthy in a couple of weeks.

In his second season in Atllanta, Millsap has averaged 16.8 points and 7.8 rebounds in 72 games for the Hawks.
