Hassan Whiteside will be paying the price for elbowing a fellow player in the head.
The Heat center has been suspended for one game without pay for hitting Spurs center Boban Marjanovic in the head during San Antonio's 119-101 win Tuesday, the NBA announced Thursday.

Whiteside made contact with Marjanovic in the fourth quarter, resulting in a Flagrant 2 foul and ejection.
He will serve the suspension after the All-Star break, when the Heat take on the Hawks on Feb. 19.
