Giannis Antetokounmpo's first mission of the summer was to help get Greece's men's basketball team back to the Olympics. His next mission: lead his country to a gold medal in Paris.
Antetokounmpo and his fellow countrymen needed a victory at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Piraeus earlier this month to earn one of the 12 spots in the Summer Games. Now, they will battle loaded squads like Team USA, Canada, France and Serbia for a chance at international glory.
It won't be an easy ride — most sportsbooks list Team USA as a heavy favorite to win it all, and Greece faces an uphill battle in a Group A (aka the "Group of Death") that includes Canada, Australia and Spain. But as NBA players and fans know, stopping Giannis is also not an easy task.

Greece basketball schedule 2024
The opening ceremony at the 2024 Paris Olympics is Friday, July 26. The men's basketball tournament tips off on Saturday, July 27, and ends with the medal games on Saturday, Aug. 10.
Greece is one of 12 teams to qualify for the Paris Olympics. It will be playing in Group A, which also includes Canada, Spain and Australia.

Each of Greece's three games during the group phase will air live on national TV. CNBC will carry the star-studded battle with Canada, E! will broadcast the middle game vs. Spain and USA will air the third game vs. Australia.
