Because the 21-year-old Giannis and 23-year-old Thanasis, who plays for the Westchester Knicks of the NBA Development League, are Greek citizens who permanently live overseas, the brothers probably won't have to serve the full three-month term. Their service will likely be shortened so the brothers can attend NBA training camps at the end of September.
