How to watch Giannis Antetokounmpo movie 'Rise': Release date, cast, streaming options and more image

Very few 27-year-olds are the subject of biopics, but very few 27-year-olds have accumulated as many accolades as Giannis Antetokounmpo, who, along with his family, is the subject of a feature-length film titled "Rise."

The film, which is aptly titled, tells the story of the Antetokounmpo family, who emigrated from Nigeria to Greece. It was in Greece that Charles and Vera Antetokounmpo would birth and raise four of their sons — Thanasis, Giannis, Kostas and Alex.

Many fans know the Antetokounmpo name through Giannis and his brothers, but few know the details of the story that led them on their paths to four of them becoming professional basketball players in America.

While the NBA story of the Antetokounmpos is still being written, Disney's "Rise" takes its viewers back to the very beginning, sharing the stories and obstacles that few may know of, each of which has a hand in Giannis and his brothers becoming who they are today.

Here's everything you need to know about watching "Rise."
