The Kings plan to fire their coach during the NBA All-Star break, according to an ESPN.com report.

The dismissal could happen as soon as Wednesday night, the report said, when the Kings play the 76ers in their last game before the break. Karl, who recently garnered his 1,000th NBA coaching victory, was hired by the Kings on Feb. 12, 2015.

ESPN reported the decision was made by Kings brass following the team's 120-100 loss to the Cavaliers on Monday night. The report's sources said "dismay both within the front office and among players with Karl's defensive schemes, practice policies and general leadership have had a demoralizing effect on the players."
Sacramento is 21-31 this season. It has lost eight of its last 10 games, including four in a row.
