One year ago, Victor Wembanyama was an easy choice for the San Antonio Spurs at the 2023 NBA Draft. Today, he's coming off an NBA Rookie of the Year season and serving as the face of France's men's basketball team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
And France isn't satisfied with just being a participant in the Summer Games — this team is aiming for a gold medal. Can the host country achieve international hoops glory?
It won't be an easy ride — most sportsbooks list Team USA as a heavy favorite to win it all, and France will have its hands full in a scrappy group that includes Germany, Japan and Brazil. But an NBA-heavy squad with Wemby, Rudy Gobert, Nicolas Batum, Evan Fournier and Bilal Coulibaly seems like the best bet to come out of Group B.
Here is everything you need to know to watch France in the 2024 Olympic Games, including tipoff times, TV channels and streaming information for each contest.
