Viewers will once again have a decision to make when watching the 2023 NBA Draft.

For the third straight year, the NBA Draft will air on both ESPN and ABC in the United States. You might think that the broadcast would be the same because ABC owns ESPN, but you'd be wrong.

From the length of each broadcast to which analysts will be present, here's what you need to know about how to watch this year's NBA Draft.

ESPN vs. ABC NBA Draft 2023 broadcast, explained

You'll have two options if you want to watch the 2023 NBA Draft on cable: ESPN or ABC.

While both broadcasts will start at 8:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 22, ESPN will televise both the first and second rounds of the NBA Draft while ABC will televise only the first round.

Each broadcast will also have different hosts, analysts and insiders.

On ESPN, Malika Andrews will lead the coverage. She will be joined by analysts Jay Bilas, JJ Redick, Andraya Carter and Monica McNutt. Adrian Wojnarowski and Bobby Marks will contribute to the broadcast as insiders.

On ABC, Kevin Negandhi will serve as the host alongside Stephen A. Smith. The two of them will be joined by special guests throughout the night, including draftees and their families. An exclusive sit-down interview with likely No. 1 pick Victor Wembanyama conducted by Robin Roberts will be included in the ABC presentation.
