Eric Gordon has season-ending surgery on finger, Pelicans say image

Eric Gordon’s season is over.

The Pelicans guard will miss the rest of the season after having surgery on a fractured right ring finger for the second time, the team announced Tuesday.

He missed 16 games earlier this season because of the first break, ESPN.com noted. During his five-year tenure in New Orleans, Gordon has yet to play in more than 64 games in a regular season.

Gordon averaged 15.2 points in 32.9 minutes per game this season. He had been playing better of late, averaging 18.8 points and shooting 51 percent in his last 10 games.
