How about that for a season opener?
The historic franchises of the Knicks and Celtics opened up their 75th seasons against each other and boy did they not disappoint. A combined 272 points - the second-most combined points in an NBA season opener and 58 minutes of actions later, New York came out on top 138-134.
Julius Randle's near triple-double of 35 points, nine assists, eight rebounds combined with 32 points from Evan Fournier helped New York overcome a career-high and franchise record for a season opener of 46 points from Jaylen Brown.
The thrilling clash had incredible back-and-forth action with no team really running away with the game.
The game had basketball Twitter buzzing including grabbing a reaction from LeBron James and WNBA great Sue Bird.
