Elena Delle Donne was named the 2015 WNBA MVP in a near-unanimous vote Wednesday.
The 26-year-old Chicago Sky star received 38 of 39 first-place votes for 385 points in becoming the first MVP in Sky franchise history. Maya Moore of the Minnesota Lynx received the other first-place vote and had 246 points in finishing second. Tina Charles of the New York Liberty was third with 181 points.

Delle Donne led the WNBA in scoring this year at 23.4 points per game. She also led the league with a .950 free-throw percentage.
Many athletes tweeted their congratulations to Delle Donne after the voting was announced, including LeBron James.

“It’s so humbling. It kind of makes me speechless,” Delle Donne said of the tweet, via the Chicago Tribune. “But all the NBA guys are so supportive of us and the league. We're friends and we support one another and we respect each other and respect the game. So it means the most when they do something like that.”
Bears linebacker Lance Briggs, U.S. women's soccer forward Sydney Leroux, White Sox second baseman Micah Johnson and Bulls Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen also sent Delle Donne congratulatory tweets.
