The United States, and much of the world, was glued to the presidential election results Tuesday night.
That includes NBA players like Manu Ginobili and Pau Gasol of the Spurs, both of whom hail from foreign countries.
Ginobili, a native of Argentina, said Tuesday night was a wild one as underdog Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in a shocking upset.
“Yesterday was a crazy night,” Ginobili said at shootaround Wednesday, via MySanAntonio.com. “We are all still hung over from the political environment.”

Gasol, who is from Spain, said that while he was paying attention to the results, he preferred to focus on himself and his team.
“What’s most important for me right now is preparing for the game tonight, making sure we win, we protect home,” Gasol said. “I focus on my life, really understanding that there’s a lot going on outside, important stuff, stuff that could affect the lives of many, not just in the country, but also outside of the country, because the U.S. is such a powerful country and such an influential country."

Both men acknowledged that the surprise of Trump's win wasn't limited to America.
“I think a lot of people were surprised by the outcome, especially outside of the U.S.,” Gasol said. “We’ll see what happens. You got to trust that the new president will do the best for the country, and let’s just hope for the best.”
