The enemy of my enemy . . . is also my enemy? It at least seems that way for Draymond Green, who responded to Paul Pierce's viral comments regarding LeBron James.
"Players today are scared of LeBron," Pierce emphatically said Friday on ESPN's "NBA Countdown." "My era is out of the league. We weren't afraid of LeBron, but these guys today, he strikes fear in these guys. I can see it."
Green, who helped the Warriors win three NBA titles against James and the Cavaliers, seemed to take offense to that statement.
"Enjoy retirement man," Green wrote back at Pierce on his Instagram story. "You still fear Bron . . . Shut up already! We get it!"

This isn't the first time Green has taken shots at Pierce. When Pierce was playing with the Clippers at the end of his NBA career, Green shut up "The Truth" with some ruthless trash talk, saying, "You can't get no farewell tour, they don't love you like that. You thought you was Kobe?"
“You thought you was Kobe?”

Draymond Green has never liked Paul Pierce... never forget this moment 💀pic.twitter.com/po6M9z3e9h
Of course, no one can forget the contentious rivalry Pierce and James shared, with Pierce sending James home with a loss to end his first stint in Cleveland. Pierce may not have feared James, but that isn't to say that James didn't ultimately dominate their head-to-head matchups. And many fans were happy to remind him.
