Kyle Lowry played in what may be his final game with the Raptors on Wednesday night, as he's expected to be moved before Thursday's trade deadline.

Lowry played an important role in helping shape Toronto into a successful basketball franchise. He's the team's all-time leader in assists, steals, 3-pointers made and triple-doubles. And he of course helped bring an NBA championship to the city in 2019.

So it's not too much of a surprise that a fellow famous Toronto star gave Lowry a call on Wednesday.

Drake called Lowry via FaceTime after the Raptors' 135-111 win over the Nuggets. The only problem was that Lowry still had to finish his news conference. The rapper joked that he was Lowry's translator. Lowry hung up the call and said he'd call him back after talking with the media.

As for Lowry's future, he said it's up to the Raptors.

"It was kind of weird tonight not knowing what the next step would be, just with understanding there are things that could possibly be done," Lowry said. "It was different tonight, for sure. I mean, who knows what's going to happen? No one knows what's going to happen. But it was definitely, for sure, different.

"Whatever will be, will be, honestly," Lowry continued. "That's the truth. Whatever will be, will be. At the end of the day, everything happens for a reason. You can't control everything, and in some situations you can, but every decision that has happened that I've had a choice in doing has worked out for me very well, and everything will be fine.

"At the end of the day, everything will be fine no matter what happens."
