The Cavaliers are down to their last life in the 2024 NBA Playoffs.
Facing elimination, Cleveland could be without star guard Donovan Mitchell for Game 5 against Boston. Mitchell popped up on the injury report ahead of Game 4 with a left calf strain and was ruled out just before tip-off.
The Cavaliers put up a respectable fight even without their leading scorer, losing 109-102 in a game that went down to the final minutes, but they didn't have enough offense to even the series. Now, Cleveland returns to Boston with its season on the line, and Mitchell is still on the injury report with the same ailment.
Will the star guard be available for Game 5? The Sporting News has you covered with the latest updates below.

Is Donovan Mitchell playing tonight?
Mitchell is listed as questionable with a left calf strain on the Cavaliers' latest injury report ahead of Game 5, but he is not expected to play, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania and Joe Vardon.
Mitchell is one of three regular rotation players listed as questionable. Star center Jarrett Allen is still dealing with a rib contusion that has kept him sidelined since Game 5 of the first round. Scoring wing Caris LeVert is a new addition to the injury report, dealing with a left knee bone bruise.
Without Mitchell, it will be an uphill battle to replace his 29.6 points per game in the playoffs as Cleveland looks to avoid elimination.
LeVert started in Mitchell's place in Game 4, so the Cavaliers could be headed for another lineup adjustment in Game 5.
