LeBron James has been a hard critic of Donald Trump, famously calling him a "bum." On Tuesday, he was asked about Trump's statement, released Monday night, saying the Eagles were no longer invited to the White House.

James said he just found out about the decision earlier in the day, but added the news didn't come as a shock to him.
"It's typical of him, I'm not really surprised," James said. "I don't know, I mean, I know no matter who wins this series, no one wants the invite anyways. So it won't be Golden State or Cleveland going."

When asked if he was surprised that, a year later, the divide seems to be growing, James said no.
"I think as long as he's in office, then the communication and things like that are going to continue to happen," James said. "It's a lot of things we believe in as Americans that we don't feel, you know, that he's for. There's a lot of people that believe that he's not for the people, or doing things that's right for the people."
James also added that "[winning a] championship... is way bigger than getting invited to the White House. Especially with him in there."
Stephen Curry on Trump
A few moments later, Warriors guard Stephen Curry was asked a similar question, and said he agrees with James. The Warriors were already "uninvited" by Trump after saying they didn't want to go to the White House as part of their 2017 title celebration. Curry says if the Warriors managed to win the championship again, the team still won't want to make the trip.

"I agree with LeBron," Curry said. "Pretty sure the way we handled things last year, kind of stay consistent with that."

Kevin Durant: "What else did you expect Trump to do? If somebody doesn't want to come to the White House, he disinvites them so the photo op won't look bad."
