Doc and Austin Rivers will have plenty of father-son bonding time Friday after the two were ejected during the Clippers' game against the Rockets.
It all started with 6:38 to play in the first half, after Austin received an immediate ejection following a light shove to official J.T. Orr after missing a layup.

It was more like a bump. Doc was understandably upset with the quick hook; he ripped Orr during a subsequent timeout, which earned him an ejection of his own.

If Carlos Boozer can stay in the game after accidently hitting Danny Crawford below the belt , why couldn't Rivers' son for a meager smack?
(UPDATE: Austin Rivers told reporters after the game (via the Los Angeles Times) the contact with Orr was accidental. He said he was arguing for a foul call when he got near Orr. “I had no idea the ref was there. I was backing up and I said, ‘Call the foul!’ When I did it, I was turning and (Orr) was right there and my elbow touched him. I’ve never in my career put my hands on a ref and I don’t never plan to,” Rivers said.
Doc Rivers said he was ejected for arguing that officials failed to give the Clippers a free throw after Marrreese Speights scored a putback basket and was fouled while Austin was being ejected.
Referee Jason Phillips told reporters Austin Rivers was tossed for making contact with Orr while using profanity, and that Doc Rivers was ejected for using "extreme profanity" toward officials.)
