Dirk Nowitzki got off to a strong start in what could be his last home game in Dallas.
The Mavericks legend scored his team's first 10 points in Tuesday's matchup against the Suns.

The 40-year-old is likely a first ballot Hall of Famer. Nowitzki is sixth on the NBA's All-Time scoring list and entered Tuesday with 31,510 points in a career that has spanned two decades.
While the German superstar hasn't announced any plan to retire, many expect him to hang it up after the season.
Nowitzki, a 2007 MVP, 2011 NBA champion and 14-time All-Star, won't be heading to the playoffs this year. The Mavericks have posted a 32-58 record and entered Tuesday tied with the Grizzlies for 13th in the Western Conference standings.
Nowitzki has played in 49 games and missed significant time while recovering from an ankle injury, which he had surgery on in 2018.
But, Dallas has a bright future. It has a top Rookie of the Year candidate in Luka Doncic and traded for 23-year-old Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis in February.
Nowitzki is one of the best international players to ever grace an NBA court. He may be finished playing soon, but two more stars have arrived in Dallas to take his place.
For now, Mavericks fans will enjoy getting to see Nowitzki fill it up at the American Airlines Center one last time.
