Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns are coming off the best regular season in franchise history, having won 64 games – two more than the 1992 Suns who lost in the NBA Finals. The Suns are looking for a return trip to the NBA Finals, after losing to the Milwaukee Bucks in six games last year.
Booker also has a burgeoning secondary career as a socialite. In 2020, Booker and "The Kardashians" star Kendall Jenner took a trip to Sedona, Arizona together, sparking rumors about their relationship together.
Since then, the couple has drawn the public eye. They appear to be spending a lot of time together and have openly talked about each other on talk shows, social media, and other platforms. Here's a look at how they got together, and how they got to where they are in their relationship (as far as the public can see).
Devin Booker-Kendall Jenner relationship timeline
April 2020: In the early throes of the COVID-19 pandemic, Booker and Jenner took a road trip to Sedona, Arizona. Intrepid faux paparazzi spotted the pair at a rest stop along the way. According to the pair's friends, they weren't dating at the time of the trip. The "appearance" happened about a month after the NBA season was postponed.
August 2020: After the NBA Bubble, of which Booker was possibly the NBA's biggest breakout star after leading the Suns to an undefeated record in said Bubble, Booker and Jenner were spotted having dinner with Kylie Jenner. This sighting was at Nobu Malibu.
September 2020: September 2020 marked the first time Booker and Jenner were seen with other socialite friends (outside of Jenner's own family), when they went to a lake in Idaho with Hailey and Justin Bieber. According to PEOPLE.com, an insider said Booker was "very sweet" to Jenner.
October 2020: Booker makes an appearance at Kim Kardashian's now-infamous 40th birthday party in Tahiti. In an Instagram post from Scott Disick, some users note Booker and Jenner standing near each other.
February 2021: In February 2021 -- February 14 to be more precise -- Jenner shared a photo of herself and Booker confirming their relationship. Booker also shared a video of him and Jenner outside, further cementing their relationship (and exclusivity).
June 2021: Jenner and Booker celebrate a year together, again through Instagram. To denote a year, they use the captions "365" and "52."
June 2021: Us Weekly reports that Jenner and Booker are effectively living together, using the phrasing "he's practically moved in with her." Also in June, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" producer Farnaz Farjam confirms Jenner does not want boyfriends on the show, removing the chance of Booker appearing on the show.
July 2021: Booker and Jenner celebrate Booker's first appearance in the NBA Finals. They show some seemingly-uncharacteristic PDA on the floor, while Jenner makes a post on Instagram with the caption "I'm not emotional, you are."
September 2021: Jenner goes on "The Jimmy Fallon Show" and talks a bit about her relationship with Booker. She also talks about Booker's relationship with her niece Stormi, saying Stormi has a crush on Booker.
November 2021: Booker makes an Instagram story wishing Jenner a happy birthday, using the caption "most beautiful woman" in one of the photos.
January 2022: Booker and Jenner celebrated New Year's together, with Jenner also using it as an opportunity to support Booker's All-Star campaign. Booker made the All-Star Game for this third straight season.
March 2022: Booker talks to WSJ about his relationship with Jenner, along with his life in general. When asked if it's hard to manage his relationship, Booker was candid.
“I wouldn’t say hard,” he said, per WSJ. “Honestly, I’m enjoying life to the fullest, and that came off my tongue so easily because it wasn’t always this way, but I feel like I’m in a good place right now.”
Booker is looking to repeat the Suns' outstanding run last year and carry the momentum of the regular season into the playoffs. The Suns will be playing against the New Orleans Pelicans, who won the play-in No. 8 seed against the Clippers on Friday.
