Derrick Rose took the stand Friday to give his side of the story in his sexual assault civil trial in Los Angeles.
The Knicks guard said a text from his ex-girlfriend and their sexual history led him to believe she was consenting to sex with him and two other men.
"I was assuming that all of us going over there that she wanted to have sex with all of us," Rose said, via the Chicago Tribune.
Rose testified in the civil trial in which the woman is suing him for $21.5 million in damages.

The former Bulls point guard said the only time his accuser said no was when all three men went into the bedroom to have sex with her.
"She told us, 'One at a time,'" Rose said, adding that he and co-defendant Randall Hampton waited on the sofa while co-defendant Ryan Allen was inside.
All three men had sex with the woman. The issue is whether it was consensual. The woman did send a text to Rose telling him he was the reason she "wakes up horny." Rose testified that the message, along with their sexual history, led him to believe everything was consensual.

"In my mind, she consented every time we had sex," Rose said. "Why wouldn't she do it that time?"
Rose's lawyers moved for a mistrial Friday, and the judge in the case ordered Rose to return to court Tuesday while that request is being evaluated.
The Knicks have exhibition games Saturday and Monday in New York, but he may need to miss the Monday game to give testimony Tuesday morning in Los Angeles.
