Things looked great for the Kings through the first three quarters in Charlotte. Then everything came unglued.
The Kings let a 22-point second half lead slip away as the Hornets came up with a 127-122 overtime win Monday.

Perhaps more concerning for the Kings is the health of center DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins finished with 30 points and 11 rebounds but sat out part of the fourth quarter and all of overtime after he injured his back. There was no immediate word after the game regarding the severity of the injury.
The Kings led 91-69 with 2:24 left in the third quarter, before Kemba Walker and the Hornets took over.
Walker scored 21 of Charlotte’s 38 fourth-quarter points and gave the Hornets a lead in the final second of regulation. He finished with 39 points.
