The way Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan tell it, their “feud” was never really that big.

The Clippers teammates both told the Orange County Register things weren't as bad as they seemed.

“If I didn’t like Chris,” Jordan said, “I wouldn’t have signed here.”

When Jordan initially agreed to sign with the Mavericks, many believed it was because of tension with his point guard. He eventually had a change of heart and returned to the Clippers. He said if there were any tension, it didn’t come from any interaction between the two.

“There are a lot of things you can say about me or what-not, but that’s not one,” Paul said of the perception of him as a bad teammate. “I’m competitive and I want to win — you can say a whole lot of stuff about me — I’m not a saint by any means.

“But that’s the one thing you cannot say.”
