De'Aaron Fox is nearing his return from injury.
Fox helped the Kings get off to a 2-1 start to the 2023-24 season, but the one-time All-Star has missed the team's last five games with an ankle injury. The Kings are 2-3 during that stretch.
Fox is coming off of the best season of his career. In 73 games, he averaged 25.0 points and 6.1 assists, earning him his first All-Star selection. Through three games this season, he's upped his scoring average to 31.3 points to go along with 6.0 assists.

What is De'Aaron Fox's injury?
Fox is dealing with a "moderate" right ankle sprain, per The Athletic's Shams Charania and Sam Amick.
The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of Sacramento's overtime win over the Lakers on Sunday, Oct. 29. Fox stepped on the foot of Lakers guard Gabe Vincent on a drive to the basket, resulting in him rolling his ankle.

Fox exited the game but returned less than a minute later. He played until there were 13 seconds left in regulation and was sidelined for the entire overtime period.
Fox finished the game with 37 points, 13 of which came in the fourth quarter.
How long will De'Aaron Fox be out?
According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Fox will return to Sacramento's lineup against the Cavaliers on Monday.
Following Monday's game, the Kings embark on a six-game road trip beginning in Los Angeles against the Lakers.
