Pelicans' injury woes continue with Dante Cunningham's broken fibula image

The Pelicans will attempt to continue their win streak without forward Dante Cunningham, who will miss up to six weeks with a broken fibula, the team announced Thursday.

Cunningham was injured in the second quarter of Wednesday's win over the Timberwolves, New Orleans' fourth consecutive victory. The Pelicans originally thought their starter had a bruised knee and wouldn't miss much time, but now Cunningham is the latest of their players to be sidelined.

The Pelicans (6-10) are waiting on Quincy Pondexter (knee), Alexis Ajinca (shoulder) and Tyreke Evans (knee) to fully recover, but they did get a boost with guard Jrue Holiday returning to the lineup.

Cunningham, 29, is averaging 5.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 15 games, including 10 starts, this season.
