In September 2000, Paul Pierce was stabbed 11 times in the face, neck and back at a Boston nightclub and required lung surgery to repair the damage done. Seems like a memory best forgotten and left in the past, right?
Apparently Pierce and his Clippers teammates have found a way to laugh about the situation more than 15 years later and even reenacted the incident Wednesday night in Boston when Pierce was introduced at TD Garden before playing his former team.

DeAndre Jordan starts the act by pretending to smash a bottle over Pierce’s head (which actually happened) before the rest of the team joined in with their imaginary knives.
More bizarre than the actual idea to reenact the infamous incident, is the look on Pierce’s face — he seems to enjoy the joke. If Pierce can laugh about it, we can too, even if it is a bit uncomfortable to watch.
The Clippers went on to lose to the Celtics in overtime, 139-134. Pierce scored just six points in 22 minutes.
