The Suns unraveled down the stretch in Game 2 against the Nuggets, struggling offensively while Nikola Jokic took complete control for Denver. An injury to Chris Paul might have been one reason Phoenix couldn't keep up.
Paul exited with a groin injury that kept him out for Game 3 and left a thin Suns team with one fewer option as Monty Williams' squad tries to battle back from a series deficit.
Phoenix was able to manage a win without Paul, avoiding a 3-0 series deficit, but it might be an uphill battle in Game 4 if Devin Booker and Kevin Durant can't take over like they did on Friday.
Postseason injuries are nothing new for Paul, who was able to overcome a shoulder injury during the 2021 playoffs and help lead the Suns to the NBA Finals. He's no longer as crucial as a scorer with Durant in the fold alongside Booker, but his ability as a distributor and on-court leader is still hugely important for the Suns if they want to make a title run.
Here's what we know about Paul's status entering Sunday night's Game 4 against the Nuggets, plus all the information you need to watch the game.

Is Chris Paul playing vs. Nuggets tonight?
The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that Paul would be re-evaluated one week after his MRI on Tuesday, and he has been officially ruled out for Game 4.
Cameron Payne will continue to have a major role in Phoenix's backcourt as the Suns look to get right back into this series on Sunday.
That timeline indicates Paul could miss Game 5 as well, putting the Suns' chances in serious jeopardy after they dropped the first two games on the road.
