Things are not going surprisingly great for Chris Paul.
The Suns point guard, playing in his first NBA Finals, bowed out Tuesday to champion Milwaukee, which got an incredible Game 6 outing from Giannis Antetokounmpo (50 points, 14 rebounds, five blocks). Conversely, Paul finished the game with 26 points, five assists and two rebounds and was minus-8.
The fact that Phoenix once held a 2-0 series lead made Milwaukee's comeback all the more painful. In fact, the Bucks became just the third NBA team to win a Finals after going down two games to none (the 1976-77 Trail Blazers and 2006-07 Heat were the others). But a 2019 State Farm commercial featuring Paul as a spokesman — one in which a full-grown buck deer destroys his car and garage — may have provided an early prediction for the outcome of the 2021 NBA Finals:

To make matters worse, fans watching the ABC telecast of the Finals on Tuesday got to see another State Farm commercial featuring Paul. Just a little insult to injury.
Paul's going to need to file a significant claim to recover from that.
