Charlie Villanueva is giving his side of his “interruption” of Russell Westbrook and Cameron Payne’s pre-game dance that caused a stir ahead of the Dallas Mavericks' Game 2 win Monday.

On Tuesday, Villanueva said he could think of a few better places to dance than prior to the start of a playoff game.

“If you wanna go dancing and stuff like that, go to a nightclub,” Villanueva said Tuesday, via Fox Sports. “Go to a club and dance. Go to 'Dancing with the Stars' and be a dancer.”

Not that Villanueva has anything against dancing, though.

“You wanna battle at dancing, we can battle,” he said. “But not on a basketball game. Not on a basketball game. And plus, they were in my way too."

Villanueva concluded his statement by calling the Thunder “a great team” and saying he looked forward to competing against them in Game 3.

Between the Mavericks' 85-84 win on Tuesday and Villanueva's party-pooping, this series is a lot more interesting than it looked after Game 1.
