Charles Barkley has strong take on 76ers' stellar offseason image

The Philadelphia 76ers' front office delivered on every one of the public's requests this offseason, highlighted by the signing of star Paul George.

In addition to George, Philadelphia brought in veterans Andre Drummond and Eric Gordon, guards Jared McCain and Reggie Jackson, and forward Caleb Martin. They were also able to re-sign score-first forward Kelly Oubre Jr. This multitude of moves gives the Sixers roster arguably their best rotation in the Joel Embiid era.

NBA analyst Charles Barkley tends to favor critical comments, but it was impossible not to send high praise toward team president Daryl Morey and Co.

"These people are so excited to have you in Philadelphia. Man, if I had a dollar for every time I've talked about your [expletive] this summer, I could quit my TV job," Barkley shared on Podcast P with Paul George. "I said, 'Yo man, he was the best free agent.' Them going out and getting Drummond, I like Eric Gordon, I like Caleb Martin, I think y'all just got Reggie Jackson. The Sixers have had the best summer of any team in the NBA. People can talk about the Knicks, hey, Oklahoma City had a great summer, but the addition of you and getting some bench help, I cannot wait for the season to start."

While the Knicks and Thunder each added significant help in certain areas, it doesn't compare to the widespread improvements Philadelphia made. Battling through the reigning champion Boston Celtics and Knicks is a great challenge, especially with the injury concerns, but their Big Three has the potential to lead them to their first title in more than 40 years.
