Charles Barkley is never shy about giving his opinion on anything — especially the NBA.
The Hall of Famer dished out another hot take Tuesday when he said he’s never seen the league as bad as it is right now.

“People think us old guys hate when we talk about it. It has nothing to do with the Warriors’ greatness, LeBron’s greatness. But I’ve never seen the NBA as bad as it is, and I’ve been saying it the last three or four years,” Barkley told Phoenix radio station KMVP-FM. “We’ve got too many young players coming out of college that don’t know how to play. It’s frustrating for me because I want to see competitive basketball.”
Barkley said essentially the same thing about early entrants two weeks ago.
DeCOURCY: Curry's success shows value of college game
Barkley is not alone in his criticism of the level of competition in the league. He’s one of several former NBA players who have made that argument during a season in which the Warriors won 73 games and the Cavaliers started the playoffs 10-0. Tracy McGrady said Stephen Curry's unanimous MVP election was the product of a "watered-down" NBA.
“We took a survey on our (TNT pregame show, "Inside the NBA") crew: How many actual NBA teams would you buy season tickets for?" Barkley said. "Four in the West and Cleveland obviously in the East. That’s not good for our league.”
