Charles Barkley needs to apologize to Michael Jordan, says Kenny Smith image

Enough is enough, Charles. At least that what fellow TNT analyst Kenny Smith thinks when it comes to Charles’s Barkley’s ongoing silent treatment with Michael Jordan.

Barkley was critical of Jordan years ago based on how he was running the Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets). Jordan took exception to Barkley’s take and the two have hardly spoken since, which is a shame for two NBA legends that were once close.

Barkley told ESPN's Dan Le Batard Show earlier this month that he missed Jordan.

"I love Michael. I miss Michael's friendship,” he said. “He was a great friend to me for a long period of time and I love him and miss him like a brother.”

Smith, who got the two in a picture together back in October, said Barkley needs to pick up the phone and just apologize if he really misses His Airness.

“What both Charles and Michael have is a lot of pride,” Smith, Jordan’s college teammate at North Carolina, told TMZ Sports. “I do think Charles is wrong. … He should apologize.”

Barkley isn’t known for backtracking on any of his controversial comments over the years, so an apology seems unlikely. But if it means mending fences with Jordan, this may be the time for Barkley to break character.
