As the stretch run nears, the Mavericks are working their way back to full strength.

According to ESPN Dallas' Tim MacMahon, forward Chandler Parsons will return to the lineup Sunday when the Mavericks take on the Lakers. He has missed the last seven games with a left ankle injury, and Dallas has gone 3-4 in his absence.

"Excited to get back on the court and help our team win games," Parsons told MacMahon via text message. "Trying to play our best basketball down the stretch and into the playoffs."

In order to have success going forward, the Mavericks will need their best starting lineup to stay on the floor. Since the beginning of February, injuries to Rajon Rondo, Tyson Chandler and Parsons have led to Rick Carlisle's ideal starting five playing together just twice.

Parsons is a big piece to have back. The forward was a major acquisition for the Mavericks this past offseason, signing a three-year deal worth around $13 million per year. He is averaging 15.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game this season.
