The Boston Celtics emerged from a tight battle on their home floor against the Oklahoma City Thunder, to secure a 126-122 win.

Trailing for most of the night, they found their rhythm in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Thunder 37-26 to extend their win streak to seven games. 

After a quiet first half, Marcus Smart came to life when the Celtics needed it most, scoring 20 of his 22 points in the second half — one of six Boston players to finish in double figures. 

Jayson Tatum led the charge with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals, despite shooting just 1-of-9 from the 3-point line, while Jaylen Brown added 26 points, six rebounds, and six assists. 

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continued his scorching start to the season, recording his ninth 30-point game, finishing with 37 points, eight assists, and four rebounds, while Lu Dort added 21 points and Aleksej Pokuševski and Josh Giddey chipped in 16 points apiece.

9:55 p.m. — The Celtics hold on to extend their win streak to seven games. 

9:52 p.m. — The second half belongs to Marcus Smart, scoring 20 of his 22 points after the break!

9:48 p.m. — Derrick White drains the triple to put the Celtics in the driver's seat. After struggling from deep all game, Boston has found their groove at just the right time. 

9:44 p.m. — Marcus Smart comes up clutch with the triple on the broken play to give Boston the lead with 90 seconds remaining. Celtics lead 118-115.

9:35 p.m. — Tie ball game!

Jayson Tatum hammers home the two-handed flush, setting up a tense final five minutes at TD Garden. 

9:33 p.m. — OKC is struggling to hold onto the ball under pressure from the Celtics defense, who have forced several key turnovers down the stretch to cut the lead to just two points. 

9:28 p.m. — Derrick White attacks the rim and scores, but he's called for an offensive foul, catching Kenrich Williams with an elbow. he immediately makes up for it on the next play with a fastbreak layup. 

9:26 p.m. — The Thunder turn the ball over but it comes off Tatum's leg. They successfully challenge the call and get the ball back. 

9:22 p.m. — Pritchard picks up right where he left off with another triple and we have a five-point game. OKC lead 99-94.

9:21 p.m. — A shaky start for the Thunder in the fourth as Giddey turns it over at half-court, with no choice but to foul Derrick White. 

End of third quarter: Thunder 96, Celtics 89

9:17 p.m. — Payton Pritchard breaks the drought for the Celtics with their first 3-point make of the quarter and follows it up with a layup at the buzzer to cut the lead to seven points heading into the final frame. 

9:11 p.m. — AARON WIGGINS!!!!!!!!

9:10 p.m. — SGA drops Derrick White with the nasty stepback and connects on the jumper. He's playing with supreme confidence tonight. 

9:08 p.m. — The Celtics are 0-of-6 from deep in the third quarter and 5-of-26 on the night.

Will the misses come back to haunt them? OKC lead 86-73.

9:05 p.m. — Poku goes down after rolling his ankle bringing down a rebound. He heads to the bench with the training staff. Thunder lead 83-71.

9:00 p.m. — It don't stop for Poku!!! He buries another triple and now has 16 points on the night!

8:55 p.m. — Poku is having himself a game on both ends. He blocks Tatum on one end and gets out in transition for the bucket.

Half-time: Thunder 69, Celtics 62

OKC takes a seven-point lead into the half after an impressive offensive start, with three players in double figures led by SGA's 18 points. Jalen Williams has12 and Lu Dort 11. 

Jaylen Brown leads three Celtics in double figures with 18 points, while Jayson Tatum has 15 points and eight boards, and Al Horford 10 points. 

8:36 p.m. — Giddey gets free on the baseline for the backdoor cut and throws down the two-handed flush!

8:35 p.m. — Welp! Josh Giddey sends his inbound pass off the back of the backboard for the turnover. He'll want that one back. 

8:30 p.m. — SGA turning defense into offense!

8:29 p.m. — Jayson Tatum gets out in the open floor and rocks the rim!

8:21 p.m. — Poku playing with a little bit of swagger tonight, pulling up for the transition triple and following it up with another putback. He's got nine points and six boards midway through the second. OKC lead 56-46.

8:18 p.m. — Lu Dort is wreaking havoc on the offensive glass for the Thunder. He's got 10 points to go with three boards. 

8:15 p.m. — Josh Giddey's vision is something else

8:14 p.m. — Jayson Tatum goes to the free-throw line to knock down a pair. His ability to get to the free throw line is the key to open up the rest of his game. He's just 1-of-7 from the 3-point line tonight. Scores tied at 42-42.

8:13 p.m. — While SGA has been the main offensive weapon for the ThunderJosh Giddey's aggressiveness getting out in transition is creating tons of scoring opportunities. 

8:10 p.m. — Sam Houser gets the second quarter started, knocking down his second triple of the game for the Celtics to tie the score at 35 apiece. 

End of first quarter: Thunder 35, Celtics 32

The Thunder take a narrow lead into the first break, with SGA continuing his scorching form, leading the way with 12 points and four assists, while Jaylen Brown leads the Celtics with 12 points. 

8:05 p.m. — POKU!!!!

Pokuševski attacked the rim and cleans up his own miss for the putback. Great play from the young big man.

7:59 p.m. — Al Horford's playmaking is causing plenty of problems for the Thunder as he finds Jaylen Brown on back-to-back plays for the score. Timeout Thunder. OKC lead 30-23.

7:55 p.m. — OKC is lifting the intensity on the defensive end, with back-to-back transition buckets for Giddey and SGA. Thunder lead 23-17.

7:50 p.m. — Jalen Williams is making an impact in his second career start, with six of the Thunder's first 16 points. 

7:47 p.m. — Jayson Tatum hasn't quite found his rhythm early, missing his first three attempts from beyond the arc.
