The Boston Celtics have just signed Lonnie Walker IV to a one year deal, per Adrian Wojnarowski. The amount of money Walker will receive is still undisclosed.

Walker averaged 9.7 points, two rebounds, and one assist per game in 58 games for the Brooklyn Nets. Walker shot 38% from beyond the arc, making him another reliable shooter. He would be another bench upgrade to give the starting guards, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White, some breathing time.

Walker’s contract is also an Exhibit 10, per Shams Charania. An E10 allows Boston to give Walker more money in a bonus if he is cut after training camp and ends up in Maine playing for the Celtic’s G-League affiliate, the Maine Celtics.

Walker will be another guy to put beyond the arc to chuck threes, and get catch and shoot opportunities from the forwards Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, who like cutting to the basket. Walker joins Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser, and Baylor Scheierman, who all share the same role as well.

The Celtics should definitely be even more feared now, after adding yet another shooter. It looks like they finally realized their drive and kick game is unstoppable, and they decided to make it even better.
