The Knicks and Celtics were both playoff teams last year but the 2021-22 season has been an up-and-down rollercoaster for these two Eastern Conference foes.
Entering this contest side-by-side in the playoff picture, each fighting to keep a spot in the Play-In Tournament, every matchup between these two teams means something as they battle for the season series.
The Knicks defeated the Celtics at Madison Square Garden on Opening Night, needing double-overtime to fend off a 46-point outburst from Jaylen Brown. When these teams met in Boston a few weeks ago, it was the Celtics who came away with the win as Brown and Jayson Tatum combined for 48 points to outlast a 32-point effort from Evan Fournier and 29 points from Kemba Walker, two of their former teammates.
Recently, Brown has been on a tear as Tatum works his way back from the COVID-19 health and safety protocols list, with the All-Star guard going off for a career-high 50 points in a win over the Magic on Sunday.

Knicks wing RJ Barrett also had an explosion in the team's win over the Pacers on Tuesday, going off for 32 points.

There's no love-loss between these two teams as the result seems to always go down to the final few minutes. You won't want to miss this battle between two Atlantic Division rivals.
