The legend of "Playoff Jimmy" just keeps on growing.
Jimmy Butler's heroic performance helped lead the Heat to a stunning comeback win over the Celtics in Game 1. Despite trailing by nine points at halftime, Miami used a 46-point third quarter explosion to blow the game wide open and held on late for the win.
"We won three out of the four quarters," Boston head coach Joe Mazzulla said after the game. "We lost one quarter because we dropped our sense of urgency."
Butler was sensational on the night, finishing with 35 points — including a late dagger from beyond the arc. However, he also received plenty of help from his supporting cast. Six Heat players finished with 15 or more points, compared to just three on the Celtics.
Game 2 now feels like a virtual must-win situation for Boston to avoid falling to a 2-0 deficit before the series even shifts to South Florida.
