It was an important win, as a loss would have left them facing a 2-0 deficit before the series had even shifted to New York.
After dropping 27 points in Game 1, Knicks guard Jalen Brunson cooled off significantly in Game 2. He finished the night just 5 of 17 from the field and 1 of 8 from beyond the arc. Julius Randle's struggles also continued, as he finished 8 of 20 from the field.
Randle suffered a scary fall late in the game after being fouled by Jarrett Allen, but he escaped serious injury despite having to leave the game. Allen was assessed a Flagrant 1 foul on the play.
