CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers acquired guard Keith Bogans and the rights to Sacramento's 2015 and 2017 second-round picks from the Boston Celtics on Thursday night.
The Celtics got guard John Lucas III, forwards Erik Murphy, Dwight Powell and Malcolm Thomas and Cleveland's 2016 and 2017 second-round picks. The Cavaliers acquired Lucas, Murphy and Thomas from Utah on July 22.
The 6-foot-5 Bogans has averaged 6.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 21.6 minutes in 671 games in 10 seasons with Orlando, Charlotte, Houston, Milwaukee, San Antonio, Chicago, Brooklyn and Boston. He played six games for Boston last season, averaging 2.0 points.
Lucas has averaged 4.8 points, 1.4 assists and 12.2 minutes in six seasons with Houston, Chicago, Toronto and Utah. Last season for Utah, he averaged 3.8 points and 1.0 assists in 42 games.
Murphy appeared in 24 games for Chicago last season, averaging 0.3 points and 0.3 rebounds. Thomas played eight games for Utah and San Antonio last season, averaging 1.9 points and 2.6 rebounds.
Powell was the 45th overall pick this year after four seasons at Stanford.
