The Bulls and Raptors face off tonight in a battle of two teams who want to or have gotten rid of their best players before the deadline in February. The Bulls reportedly want to move guard Zach LaVine, while the Raptors traded guard OG Anunoby to the Knicks earlier this year and dealt forward Pascal Siakam to the Pacers on Wednesday.

LaVine returned on Jan. 5 after a 17-game absence where he's averaged 16.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game. The Bulls are 4-2 during that stretch, although they dropped two of their past three games. LaVine's averaged 20.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game this season. DeMar DeRozan is still the lifeblood of this team, though, with 22.0 points per game.

The Raptors are a bit more of a mess. Toronto is 1-5 since Jan. 5 and dropped four consecutive games. Scottie Barnes is now the Raptors' best player, averaging 20.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Toronto got Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora and three first-round picks in the Siakam deal, though, so the Raptors clearly thinking about the future.

Toronto's new backcourt of New York Knicks castoffs R.J. Barrett and Immanuel Quickley has coalesced well in Canada. Barrett scored at least 23 points in four of the Raptors' past five games, while Quickley's tallied at least 21 in the three of the past four.

Both teams have played pretty mildly this year, though. The Bulls score 110.1 points per game and allow 113.4, while Raptors average 115.0 points and allow 116.8 points per game. Neither team has eclipsed 20 wins this year and both are outside of the Eastern Conference playoff field at this point in the season.

The Raptors are dealing with more injuries, too, as forward Otto Porter Jr. and centers Christian Koloko and Jakob Poeltl are all expected to be out for this game. Guard Ayo Dosunmu and forward Patrick Williams are considered game-time decisions for the Bulls.
