Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis led the Bucks to a Game 5 victory against the Pacers with 29 points apiece, leaving the series at 3-2 in Indiana's favor. Milwaukee managed to avoid elimination with a 115-92 win despite the absences of Damian Lillard (Achilles) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf).
Patrick Beverley also came in handy with a double-double of 13 points and 12 assists in the contest. Malik Beasley had three of the team's eight steals, and the Bucks held the Pacers to 44.4 percent shooting from the field.
Indiana struggled to find any consistency on offense, finishing with its lowest point total of the 2023-24 season. Tyrese Haliburton scored a team-high 16 points, and Obi Toppin did his best to give the Pacers some energy off the bench, totaling 12 points, six rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes.
It's unclear if Lillard and Antetokounmpo will be available to play in Game 6, but Bucks head coach Doc Rivers believes that they are "very, very, very close" to rejoining the starting lineup. Milwaukee will have to pull out a win in Indianapolis — with or without them — in order to push the series to Game 7.
