Brittney Griner thinks she can beat DeMarcus Cousins one-on-one image

Brittney Griner and DeMarcus Cousins are premier bigs in their respective leagues, the WNBA and NBA, but could Griner beat Cousins one-on-one?

The WNBA star believes she can.

"I'm just gonna use that to fuel this," Griner said, via ESPN.com, when being told that Cousins thinks she'd be no better than the third best player on the men's version of Team USA. "I mean I'm better, and I know that kinda gets at him. It's OK. It's OK, little man."

The tale of the tape shows that Griner would probably have her hands full with the talented big man, who is moonlighting with Team USA in Rio at the moment but plays for the Sacramento Kings of the NBA.

At 6-11, Cousins is a full three inches taller than Griner. He's also got her in the weight department by more than 60 pounds.

"I'm glad she's so confident in her abilities," Cousins said. "She's also a little delusional."

U.S. women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma was asked to weigh in on the proposed matchup, and he was pretty emphatic about who he thought would win.

"If there's no referee, I'm gonna got to the ATM and I'm gonna sell my house, and I'm gonna put all my money on DeMarcus Cousins," he said.

Both players are currently in Rio, so we'll see if we get the one-on-one matchup before they head back home.
