Best NBA prop bets today: Victor Wembanyama, Chet Holmgren highlight Tuesday's top over/under picks image

Tuesday night's NBA slate includes 10 In-Season Tournament games, with the first of two nationally televised TNT games featuring the Spurs and Thunder (7:30 p.m. ET). That means hoop heads will be treated to the first regular-season matchup between Rookie of the Year favorites Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren. Whether you prefer DFS or prop betting, you can spice things up by picking some of your favorite player's over/unders on SuperDraft

Let's get to our picks and break down four of our favorite player props on SuperDraft for Tuesday night's NBA slate. Remember: you don't necessarily have to combine all four picks together. You could make separate two-leg parlays to increase your win probability, or you could attempt to hit it big if all four picks come through.

Best NBA prop bets today: Top player props for Tuesday 11/14

1. Victor Wembanyama, C, Spurs at Thunder — OVER 21 points

While Wembayama's points props tend to be slightly inflated thanks to the overwhelming amount of hype surrounding the 7-4 wunderkind, we like the odds-on Rookie of the Year favorite to surpass his number tonight.

In Wembanyama's past two games, both narrow losses to the Timberwolves and Heat, he averaged 34.5 minutes while attempting 21.5 shots per game. While he had an inefficient showing Sunday night against the Heat (18 points, eight-of-22 shooting), his reliable volume gives him every opportunity to score 22-plus.

Yes, going against fellow ROY candidate Chet Holmgren is no easy task. Still, in just 19 minutes of game action in San Antonio's preseason bout against Oklahoma City, Wemby dropped 20 points on eight-of-13 shooting. Of course, it's wise to take a player's preseason stats with a grain of salt, but the Thunder's interior defense had little resistance against him.

He proved he could consistently beat Holmgren to the basket when driving in from the perimeter while also having the advantage on post-ups. Look for that to translate to another successful outing this time when it really matters.

2. Chet Holmgren, F, Thunder vs. Spurs — OVER 7.5 rebounds

With the Thunder pegged as 10.5-point favorites in a game with a high total (over/under 238.5 points), there's a good chance the Spurs, who play at the eighth-fastest pace, heave up a high number of bricks, especially when matched up against a sound Thunder defense. That plays well into Holmgren's chances of totaling eight-plus rebounds, a number he's failed to reach in three straight games.

Per NBA.com's tracking stats, Holmgren sees 14.8 rebound chances per game, with 11.4 of those coming on the defensive end of the court. Add in the increased motivation to show out against the top ROY contender on national television, and we like Holmgren to be uber-aggressive as a rebounder tonight.

3. Cade Cunningham, PG, Pistons vs. Hawks — OVER 6 assists

Cunningham will see a lot of Dejonte Murray tonight, which doesn't exactly bode well for his scoring prospects. However, Cunningham could fare well in the assists department, as he has in four career games against Atlanta. Cunningham is averaging eight dimes per game against Detroit, going OVER 6.0 in three of four contests.

As long as Cunningham avoids foul trouble, he's a threat to play close to 40 minutes, boosting his chances of notching seven-plus assists. With Detroit sitting as one of the Association's weaker shooting teams (52.3 eFG%; 22nd), we could see the Hawks ice ball screens involving Cunningham, forcing him to give up the rock. That should lend itself to a seven-plus assist night.

4. Deandre Ayton, C, Trail Blazers @ Jazz — OVER 15.5 points

Ayton draws a plus matchup against the Association's worst interior defense, as Utah's allowing opponents to connect on 59.2 percent of their twos. Portland's five-man rotation has exceeded this number in three of his past five contests, seeing his usage steadily increase as he gets more comfortable playing for Chauncey Billups.

Ayton's connected on 60-plus percent of his attempts in his past two games, as he figures to maintain his efficient play on Tuesday night.
