Ben Simmons has experienced another setback in a season of ups and downs with the Nets.
After missing the entirety of the 2021-22 season due to a holdout and injury, Simmons has been in and out of the lineup due to various ailments this season. He is now back on Brooklyn's injury report due to a knee issue.

What is Ben Simmons' injury?
In a loss to the Pistons on Jan. 26, Simmons exited in the third quarter with left knee soreness.

It is unclear when exactly the injury occurred, but Simmons was limited in the game, going scoreless on 0-for-3 shooting in 20 minutes of action.
This season, Simmons is averaging 7.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.4 assists through 37 games. Earlier this season, Simmons missed time with soreness in his left knee. The 26-year-old has also missed time with a calf injury.
How long will Ben Simmons be out?
On Jan. 28, Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn described Simmons' status as day-to-day. Vaughn provided an update on Jan. 30, saying he was "hopeful" that Simmons could return to the floor for the Nets' meeting with the Celtics on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

Vaughn said that Simmons will be listed as not available for Saturday's game against the Wizards, though whether that means he's probable or questionable is unknown. Either way, he's "not certain to play."
