Milwaukee Bucks swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo has one of the more difficult NBA names to pronounce.

While giving a speech in Athens, Greece, President Barack Obama attempted to pronounce Antetokounmpo's name, and botched it.

"Greek or American, we're all cheering for Giannis Antetokounmpo, who seems to be getting better each year," Obama said Wednesday while on his final international trip as president.

Obama was speaking on the merits of a democratic government in the city where democracy was born.

The 21-year-old Antetokounmpo was a first-round pick of the Bucks in the 2013 NBA Draft. He's averaging over 21 points and eight rebounds with three assists per game so far this season for the Bucks (5-4), who traveled to Atlanta for Wednesday's game against the Hawks.

Referencing the 6-11 Antetokounmpo was clearly an attempt to bond and Obama received applause for the mention, though it may have been a sarcastic ovation. Maybe the president should have just stuck with "The Greek Freak." But you've got to him credit for trying.
