Ayesha Curry found out the hard way that while Twitter can be a fun social media platform, it can also turn against you fast.
She called the NBA "rigged" when her husband, Stephen Curry, was ejected during Game 6 of the NBA Finals, then offered a mea culpa and insight into what she was feeling when she tweeted her ire.
“I was just a fan in that moment so I didn’t think about the ramifications,” Ayesha told People Magazine. “I regret the way that I voiced how hurt I was. I felt hurt for (Stephen), and I didn’t mean to offend anybody. Obviously, what I wrote is not what I think about what he does for a living.”
Even though Ayesha has apologized, she's still receiving negative commentary and it upsets her.
“Since all this hoopla has happened, I have been a victim of reading the comments,” she said. “It hurts my feelings because I didn’t intend to hurt anybody. I apologized for it, and I feel like people should move on. There’s a lot more serious things going on in the world.”
The Warriors ended up losing the NBA Finals in seven games to the Cavaliers.
