Wednesday was a blockbuster night in the NBA, with the league's Australian players showing off their scoring abilities to set a new record.
Ben Simmons, Patty Mills, Joe Ingles, Thon Maker, Matthew Dellavedova and Aron Baynes combined to score 86 points, surpassing the previous record of 66, achieved on March 11, 2017.

Simmons and Mills did the bulk of the damage, scoring 26 points each in Philadelphia's 112-106 win over the San Antonio Spurs.

Patty & Ben also became the first 🇦🇺's to lead both teams in scoring in the 1 game.
They also became the first Australian players to lead their teams in scoring in the same game as noted by Basketball Forever's Tom Read.

Matthew Dellavedova and Thon Maker combined for 20 points in Milwaukee's 122-101 win over Indiana. Dellavedova added nine assists and two steals, while Maker had four rebounds on the night.

In Boston, Aron Baynes produced six points and six rebounds in 16 minutes of action as Boston ran away with a 102-88 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Joe Ingles chipped in with eight points, four rebounds and five assists in Utah's 108-98 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.

The day's feat is made even more impressive given that Mangok Mathiang's Charlotte Hornets were not in action and Andrew Bogut did not play in the Lakers loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
It's safe to say we can expect this record to tumble again pretty soon.
