The NBA announced Tuesday that Anthony Davis has been fined $50,000 "for violating a collectively-bargained rule prohibiting players or their representatives from making public trade demands."

The fine is a result of Davis' agent, Rich Paul, sending a statement to ESPN saying his client had requested a trade. In its statement, the NBA said the move was "an intentional effort to undermine the contractual relationship between Davis and the Pelicans."

But Davis, who is making over $25 million in salary this season, won't be hurt too much by that $50,000 fine. And as a result, NBA Twitter did its thing by poking fun at that fact.

Below is a compilation of some of the best jokes.
