Bogut injured his left knee when he collided with a falling J.R. Smith mid-air in the third quarter of Golden State’s Game 5 loss to the Cavaliers.
The initial diagnosis prior to Tuesday's MRI was a sprained knee. Although the results of the MRI have not been released, Bogut, who entered Monday’s game averaging 4.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots per game during the postseason, is expected to avoid surgery.
The Warriors hold a 3-2 series lead heading into Thursday’s Game 6 in Cleveland.
