The NBA's 2021-22 season is off to a rollicking start. One week in and we've got tempers flaring up in Los Angeles, Stephen Curry going off, Carmelo Anthony moving up, several surprise unbeatens and nonstop chatter about the greatest 75 players.
The thrilling action continues on Tuesday with a matchup between two big-market teams in New York City as Julius Randle and the Knicks host Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Both teams enter this contest with a 2-1 record but were agonisingly close to going unbeaten through their first three games. The 76ers stumbled in their home opener, collapsing late by allowing the Brooklyn Nets to go on a game-sealing 16-1 run over the final 5:30 minutes.

On the other hand, the Knicks in their most recent game - a home encounter against the Orlando Magic - squandered a nine-point lead late in the third quarter and went on to lose by six points as they were outscored by their opponents 36-24 in the critical final quarter.

For the 76ers, last year's No. 1 seed in the East, this is the second of a two-game road trip before they play five straight home games at the Wells Fargo Center. On the other hand, the Knicks travel on the road for five of their next seven games.
